About the Author
Raj Shah, a software engineer by profession, an Indian culture enthusiast, an ardent promoter of Hinduism, and a cancer survivor, has lived in the United States since 1970, calling it his Karmabhoomi while cherishing India as his Mathrubhumi. Raj has served as chairman of the board for the Hindu University of America’s South Florida campus and was a founding board member and chairman of the International Hindu University. He currently sits on the board of the Akshaya Patra South Florida Chapter and is actively involved with the Broward School Board.
A prolific writer and cultural educator, Raj has authored numerous books and articles on Hinduism, Indian traditions, Hindu wedding rituals, and Hindu festivals. His work has touched diverse audiences, from scholars to school children.
